Chinese Power: How to Think About It and What it Means for the World

That China is becoming stronger, a world power, is a cliché. But in what respects is China becoming stronger? What use is China able to make of its growing power? What are the limits upon China's application of power? What does all this mean for the rest of the world and for business in particular? How might the outside world most productively respond? These are the issues that Dr. Lampton will address and problems upon which he is working as he writes his new book.

This is an annual lecture established to commemorate the contributions of former MCBC board member Ambassador John H. Holdridge to the development of constructive diplomatic and business relations between the United States of America and the People's Republic of China.

Featuring:

David M. Lampton, Dean of Faculty
George and Sadie Hyman Professor and Director of China Studies
