The China Traditional Orchestra Anhui:
A Welcoming Reception and Concert

MCBC, together with the Maryland-Anhui Sister State Committee, World Artists Experiences and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra invite you to experience the wonders of traditional Chinese music, help ring in the Chinese Year of the Rabbit, and mark the 30th Anniversary of Maryland’s sister state relationship with China’s Anhui Province, at the U.S. debut of the China Traditional Orchestra Anhui at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore, MD

The Orchestra is a 70-member ensemble which uses traditional Chinese instruments such as the pipa, bamboo flute, erhu, jinghu and guqin, to perform theatrical selections, an overture, operatic pieces and poetic interpretations, all in a traditional Anhui folk style.

The Orchestra’s performance will be preceded by a special welcoming reception featuring Chinese cuisine and a special gift for attending guests.  Please note that tickets to the reception are limited.

Tickets for the performance purchased through MCBC may be claimed the evening of the performance.
