AN EVENING AT THE CHINESE EMBASSY: CURRENT ISSUES IN US-CHINA TRADE RELATIONS

November 19, 2003

Ambassador Yang Jiechi will host the event, addressing important developments in US-China business and trade relations. His remarks will be followed by presentations from other senior embassy personnel who will address topics such as currency convertibility, balance of trade with the United States, and the investment situation in China.  The presentations will be followed by a buffet dinner.  Other senior diplomats representing key embassy sections (see below) also will be in attendance so attendees will be able to talk with them about any specific questions they may have.

DIRECTIONS:  The nearest Metro stop is DuPont Circle/Red Line (a 10 to 15 minute walk). There is limited street parking available on nearby side streets.  

DATE AND TIME: November 19, 2002, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

REGISTRATION: Advance registration and payment required.  No walk-in attendees, please.

COST: No charge for MCBC members. $75.00 for non-members if paid by November 14; $80 if paid after that date. Buffet dinner.
